Declaration of Performance (DoP) and CE marking in the Construction Products Regulation (CPR). The Construction Products Regulation No 305/2011 which came into force 01.07.2013 requires declaration of performance and CE marking for certain construction products.

Conformity with the CPR is demonstrated by the CE conformity and the declaration of performance (DoP). Both are mandatory for the manufacturer if they want to place CPR-classified products on the market. For CE conformity, cables and wires of classes Eca and higher must be subjected to type testing.

In addition, a declaration of performance must also be prepared on the basis of assessments and classifications carried out by an accredited and notified testing body. A key element of the CE marking and declaration of performance stipulated by law is the specification of the fire rating.

The Declaration of Performance is a key part of the Construction Products Regulation. It provides information on the performance of a product. Each construction product covered by a European harmonised standard or for which a European Technical Assessment has been issued needs this Declaration and has to be CE marked.
