A buyer secured locally-held volumes of S. Korean DOTP at 1100-1120/ton on FD basis. Meanwhile, Turkish DOTP prices increased significantly with respect to last month, with offers reported at 1160-1200/ton, on DDP basis. As for January, players express firmer expectations for plasticizers prices.

Mid-point prices for DOTP climbed from a trough of $765/tonne CFR (cost & freight) China in April to $960/tonne by July. From July to August, mid-point prices for DOTP have plateaued, and are fluctuating at around $945-960/tonne.

In the plasticizer market, DINP and DIDP prices continued to see mixed pricing policies in the second half of the month while the DOTP business was wrapped up mainly with rollovers to reductions. The overall price ranges for the second half of February were quoted at 2000-2150/ton for DINP and DIDP and at 1950-2100/ton for DOTP FD, 60 days.

DOTP prices fluctuated and consolidated in December According to the data monitoring of SunSirs, as of December 30, the average price of DOTP was 9,800 RMB/ton, down 0.76% from the average price of 9,875 RMB/ton on December 1. Cost was consolidated, demand was weak and DOTP price was weakly consolidated.

Since the end of September, due to the influence of limited power and production, the DOTP factory has once dropped to about 3.5 percent, while the spot in the field has been in a tight state, and many factories have oversold behavior.
