Oxea plans European capacity increase for DOTP; starts building work
Oxo-chemicals group Oxea is planning to increase the European capacity for its dioctyl terephthalate (DOTP) plasticizer Oxsoft GPO by 50 000 tonnes/year by the fourth quarter of 2015. The company reports that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with a third party to establish joint production of DOTP.
Oxea aims to become major European supplier of DOTP plasticizer
Oxea is already the largest European producer of 2-EH so the DOTP manufacturing process will be fully backward integrated, the company says. ‘We will be able to sustainably meet our customer's current and future needs for this important phthalate-alternative plasticizer, and can further improve delivery reliability’, reports Oxea's CEO Dr Salim Al Huthaili.
