Shapeways has TRIPLED the price of my single part
The flat per cc price really encourages people to make things that are going to break and take up the most room in the printer or things with 10 bajillion parts. (go look at the 17x17x17 twisty puzzle and think about how hard it would be to make sure all the parts are there) This would bring the price more in line with the cost.
