Use of Water Reducers, Retarders, and Superplasticizer
The use of WRA is defined as Type A in ASTM C 494. WRA affects mainly the fresh properties of concrete by reducing the amount of water used by 5% to 12% while maintaining a certain level of consistency, measured by the slump as prescribed in ASTM C 143-90. The use of WRA may accelerate or retard the initial setting time of concrete.

- SikaCim® Concrete Additive can be added to the gauging water prior to its addition to the dry aggregates or separately to the freshly mixed concrete (on the batching plant or on site into the truck mixer) where added to truck mixer on site, further mixing for three to five minutes should be carried out.
- How much sikacim ® concrete additive can be used?

When accidental overdosing occurs, Sika® Plastiment® VZ does not entrain excessive amounts of air, however the set retarding effect increases.
