Leaching of plasticizers from polyvinylchloride perfusion
The Fresenius PVC-line showed the highest amount of DEHP leaching of 48.3 μg/ml by ClinOleic 20%, 47.6 μg/ml by Intralipid 20% and 43.7 μg/ml by SMOFlipid . The plasticizer DINCH in the CAIR LGL migrated at 5.8 μg/ml into Intralipid 20% and at 5.1 μg/ml into ClinOleic 20%.
DinCH and ESBO actual migration from PVC infusion tubings
The present study focuses on the release of two plasticizers 1,2-cyclohexane dicarboxylic acid diisononyl ester (DINCH) (primary) and epoxidized soy bean oil (ESBO) (secondary) from PVC extension tubings used in an oncopediatric unit. The release of plasticizers is calculated by comparison to unused tubings with the same batch number.

Leaching of plasticizers from polyvinylchloride perfusion
Plasticizers migrate from polyvinylchloride (PVC) infusion systems into lipid emulsions. The aim of this study was to investigate the leaching of different plasticizers from PVC perfusion...
Effects of flow rate on the migration of different
It is expressed in mg of migrated plasticizer per 100g of PVC -a “physicochemical approach” which provides the results of release by standardizing the features of the MD and the volume infused. The migration kinetic was expressed as follow: A = migration kinetic (μg/dm 2 /mL)
