Epoxidized soybean oil (ESBO) is a viscous, pale yellow liquid with a mild, characteristic odor. At temperatures below -10° C, the substance gradually changes into the solid state of aggregation. The mixture decomposes when heated, producing irritating and noxious gases. Epoxidized soybean oil is not soluble in water.
