Vikoflex 9080 Epoxidized Vegetable Oil. Vikoflex 9080 Epoxidized Vegetable Oil by Cargill acts as a plasticizer, stabilizer and acid scavanger. It is based on epoxidized linseed fatty acid ester. It improves low temperature properties of flexible PVC.

Epoxidized soybean oil (ESBO) has been used in polyvinyl chloride (PVC)/polyvinylidene chloride (PVDC) food packaging cling film as a plasticizer and stabilizer. The aim of this study was to investigate the migration of ESBO from PVC/PVDC cling film, based on gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC-MS).

Samples were prepared using the formulation given in Table 1. Epoxidized rice bran oil (ERBO) was added as a substitute of DOP in increasing percent from 20, 40, 60, 80, and 100 of total plasticizer. The plasticizer (DOP/ERBO) was compounded with PVC resin in a two-roll mill at temperature of 160 °C for 2 min.
