HDPE Waxes - TER Chemicals
Oxidized HDPE waxes are synthetic, polar PE waxes, that are produced by suspension oxidation of HDPE plastics. They have a bright color, high hardness, viscosity and high-melting behavior. Due to these properties, HDPE waxes are used as dispersions, release agents and lubricants.
An overview of chemical additives present in plastics: Migration
Fatty acid amides (primary erucamide and oleamide), fatty acid esters, metallic stearates (for example, zinc stearate), and waxes. The amounts are dependant on the chemical structure of the slip agent and the plastic polymer type. Lubricants (internal and external) 0.1–3 – – Anti-statics: 0.1–1 –
