- What is a faceting kit?
- Faceting Kits are available to provide those items needed to attach the stone to the dops, to shape and polish a stone, and to remove the stone from the dops. These items are not provided with the machine but are sold separately or in kits.
- How much does a Facetron cost?
- The 230v 50Hz Export model is available for an additional $30.00. The Facetron comes with a set of 15 dops, a 45 degree dop, transfer stand, water coolant system, acculign transfer stand, a 96 index gear, Facetron Owner's Manual, and a Faceting Instruction Handbook by Soukup. Shipping weight is 37 pounds.
- Are DOPS keyed?
- Note: There are also SPECIAL DOPS, such as rectangular Emerald Dops, in F and V configurations, Thin Emerald Dops for tourmaline, and Pot Dops –which are oblong (“roasting pan” shaped) for transfer of Marquise or Ovals. For the same reason that Vee Dops are not keyed, Pot Dops are not keyed.
