In the fourth extraction no plasticizers could be detected anymore. Methanol is therefore an efficient solvent for plasticizers extraction. The extraction with methanol was validated by repeating the procedure several times with different CA materials. Three extractions with methanol led in each case to a total extraction of plasticizers.
