Mesamoll | The universal plasticizer | LANXESS
Mesamoll is a non-phthalate, well-gelling and exceptionally saponification-resistant universal plasticizer for a wide range of polymers, such as PVC, PUR and rubber. Plasticizers By incorporation of plasticizers into compatible polymers, the materials can be modified in such a way that it becomes soft and flexible, even at sub-zero temperatures.
Catabolism of Mesamoll, a technical formulation
The bacterial catabolism of a technical formulation of alkylsulfonic acid phenyl esters employed as a general purpose plasticizer, Mesamoll, was elucidated. Two strains of the genus Rhodococcus were found able to utilize this substrate mixture as sole source of carbon and energy.
Bioplasticizer - an overview | ScienceDirect Topics
This plasticizer group is promoted as a nontoxic, biodegradable, bio-based alternative to phthalates for PVC applications. Furan and its derivatives can be produced from both renewable raw materials and from crude oil–based raw materials.
Technical Data Sheet Mesamoll II Plastic Additives Plasticizer
Plasticizer Description: Mesamoll II is a phthalate-free general purpose plasticiser with a good gelling behaviour and an exceptional saponification resistance. It is compatible with many types of polymers including PVC, polyurethanes, and rubber. The main difference between Mesamoll II and Mesamoll is the former’s reduced volatility.
