What Is Epoxidized soybean oil, Cas No 8013-07-8 Guide - ECHEMI
Epoxidized soybean oil (ESBO) is a collection of organic compounds obtained from the epoxidation of soybean oil. They are used as a plasticizer and stabilizer in polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastics. ESBO is an yellowish viscous liquid. Heat stabilizer Building/construction materials not covered elsewhere Production 100,000,000 - 250,000,000 lb
Soybean oil epoxidized | 8013-07-8 suppliers - BuyersGuideChem
HB Chemical was founded in 1985 on the simple principle of being a low-cost provider to the Rubber, Plastics and Coatings Industries. We are seller of Dibutoxyethyl adipate. Our main warehouse and office facility in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio near Akron was completed in 1997. Expansion of both warehouse and office areas were completed in 2006.
- What is epoxidized soybean oil (ESBO)?
- Epoxidized Soybean Oil (ESBO) is a bio-degradable and renewable replacement and cost efficient alternative for phthalate plasticizers in PVC compounds, applications and other plastic materials. We can offer several grades of Epoxidized Soybean Oil (ESBO), a regular or medical grade, key difference is the POV value of the product.
- Is Esbo safe?
- ESBO is finely produced from high quality natural raw materials and has passed the toxicity tests of Disease Control Center, Shanghai Food and Drug Administration and SGS. ESBO is finely produced from high quality natural raw materials and has passed the toxicity tests of Disease Control Center, Shanghai Food and Drug Administration and SGS.
- Is Esbo a diluent?
- ESBO is a yellowish viscous liquid. Epoxidized Soybean Oil is a non-toxic, clear to yellow liquid that is used as a plasticizer and stabilizer in plastic materials, especially PVC and its copolymers. Epoxidized Soybean Oil is also used as a pigment dispersing agent and acid/mercaptan scavenging agent as well as an epoxy reactive diluent.
- Is Esbo a better plasticizer than DOP?
- As far as compatibility with PVC, ESBO is equivalent to DOP and is better in terms of plasticizing efficiency. Thus the total need of plasticizers would be less.
- Does Esbo use lubricants?
- Under special situation, 10~30 portion of ESBO used non-open-air, no other stabilizers is necessary. The addition of this chemical, will cut down the amount of other plasticizers, stabilizers and lubricants needed.
