Palamoll 65 6
Plasticizers Description Palamoll 656 is a high viscosity polymeric plasticizer that is compatible with PVC. It is based on adipic acid and polyhydric alcohols. It is resistant to oils, fats, aliphatic hydrocarbons and bitumen. It is soluble in organic esters, ketones, ethers, aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons.
Polymeric Plasticizers
Polymer plasticizers or polyadipates are polyesters of aliphatic dicarboxylic acids. BASF manufactures and markets the following polymer plasticizers for special applications: Palamoll products (polyesters of aliphatic dicarboxylic acids) Palamoll 632: Technical Information Palamoll 638: Technical Information
Technical Information
High viscosity polymeric plasticizer for PVC and paints. Good resistance to oils and aliphatic hydrocarbons. It has only a slight tendency to migrate into plastics. Palamoll 646 is approved for use in plasticized PVC articles for food contact applications. Chemical nature Polymeric plasticizer derived from adipic acid and butanediol

Polimix and Uraplast are saturated polyesters based on adipic or phthalic acid and monohydric and polyhydric alcohols. They can be used either alone or in combination with standard monomeric plasticizers in PVC, rubbers, and other polymer matrix. According to the specific chemical composition and physical chemical properties, they can be used
Plasticizers: Types, Uses, Classification, Selection & Regulation
It is almost colorless and odorless oily liquid. It is very slightly soluble in water but soluble in alcohols, hexane etc. while miscible and compatible with all the monomeric plasticizers used in PVC compounding. Melting point: 43°C (45°F; 230 K) Boiling point: 244-252°C at 0.7 kPa.
- What is a polymeric plasticizer?
- A polymeric plasticizer produces exactly the same result and increases the molecular mobility of the polymer chains. This increase in mobility produces a lowering of the T g. II. III. I.. INTRODUCTION A.. Plasticizers 1.. Definition A plasticizer is a chemical used to reduce the stiffness of an amorphous (glassy) thermoplastic resin.
- What types of plasticizers does Eastman offer?
- Eastman also offers a comprehensive range of polymeric plasticizers for use in applications that require very low plasticizer migration and/or extended product durability. Discover how our plasticizers can expand your capabilities today. Our extensive product line has a range of options to meet your plasticizer needs.
- Is oligimeric material better than high molecular weight plasticizer?
- In this test, the oligimeric material is not so good as the high molecular weight plasticizer. In the test for volatiles or migration tests, the oligimeric product seems to perform almost as well as high molecular weight products.
- Which plasticizer is better – low or high molecular weight?
- Poly (vinyl chloride), plasticized with low, medium, and high molecular weight plasticizers, is an excellent example of such behavior. Low molecular weight plasticizers are more efficient but suffer from impermanence. High molecular weight plasticizers have superior permanence and better physical and electrical properties, but are less efficient.
- What is the permanence of high molecular weight plasticizers?
- The permanence of high molecular weight plasticizers is such that the average molecular weight of the polymeric plasticizer is no longer a factor.
- Which polymeric plasticizers are used for PVC?
- Many of the data supplied by producers of polymeric plasticizers for PVC are on blends, which contain about 10% monomeric plasticizer. This is true for chlorinated polyethylene, butadiene–acrylonitrile copolymers, and the graft copolymer of polycaprolactone on polystyrene .
