  • What are adipate plasticizers?
  • Adipate plasticizers contain two carbonyl groups (C O) in a linear configuration at the center and alkyl chains (R) on both sides. In this study, we used five adipate plasticizers with different numbers of carbon atoms in the alkyl chain, including DMA, DEA, DBA, DOA, and DDA, to synthesize adipate PVC gel (Fig. S1).

  • At 65 °C, the output voltages of DMA1, DEA1, DBA2, and DDA3 PVC gel-based TENGs decreased to 11 %, 9 %, 82 %, and 46 %, respectively.   • We also conducted tests to evaluate the stability of adipate PVC gel-based TENG when exposed to high humidity conditions (Fig. S18). Each adipate PVC gel was immersed in water for 10 days, and the resulting change in plasticizer weight was measured. DMA and DEA gels exhibited weight losses of approximately 81 % and 36 %, respectively.
