A plasticizer blend for polyvinyl butyral (PVB) comprising a monoester of a glycol and a C 16 to C 20 unsaturated fatty acid having a hydroxyl group attached to the acid molecule and a multiester of an alcohol having 2 to 4 hydroxyl groups and said unsaturated fatty acid, the monoester being present in the blend on a weight basis in an amount equal to or greater than the multiester.
