FDA has notified Perstorp Holding AB (Malmo, Sweden) that its Pevalen plasticizer for polyvinyl chloride (PVC) polymers has been deemed to be safe for repeated-use, food-contact products. The company obtained the food contact notification, FCN 001967, on May 28, 2025.
Perstorp installs new reactor for plasticizer production
Swedish speciality chemicals firm Perstorp has reached a major milestone in its Valerox project, with the delivery and installation of the reactor for its new plasticizers plant at the company's Stenungsund site, north of Gothenburg. The valeraldehyde plant is on schedule for completion and start-up in the first quarter of 2015.
