Simultaneous recovery of high-purity copper and polyvinyl
PVC coverings typically contain plasticizers for flexibility. As such, PVC cables become brittle after plasticizer extraction, causing them to be easily crushed by physical impact. Hence, we extracted the plasticizers from the PVC coverings of electric cables using organic solvents, and then crushed the obtained cable samples by ball milling.
A Strategy for Nonmigrating Highly Plasticized PVC - Nature
Nonmigrating highly plasticized PVC was prepared based on a new compound that acts as a plasticizer that was derived from di (2-ethylhexyl) 4-hydrophthalate and chlorinated paraffin-52. The...
Simultaneous recovery of high-purity copper and
The highest separation rate of 77% at 99% Cu purity for 150-600 m particle size was achieved using samples of which 100% of the plasticizer had been extracted from PVC resin at 5 h residence...
Simultaneous recovery of high-purity copper and polyvinyl
As a result, PVC is used in a wide variety of fields including the construction, automobile, electrical, medical, and daily goods industries. 1 The global production of PVC reached 41 420 kt in 2015, 2 making it the third highest in volume among plastic resins.
Polyesters PET - PEIT | Roquette
High purity isosorbide is a commercially available bio-based diol (POLYSORB, Roquette, France) with a very low carbon footprint that can be incorporated in polymers to improve thermal properties, notably to increase Tg, alongside environmental impact. - What are the basic properties of plasticizers?
- The basic properties required for plasticizers include a large molecular weight and high boiling point. If the former is too small or the latter is too low, then the plasticizer will evaporate during the hot VC formation process. The plasticizers are required to have both polar and nonpolar portions, as explained above.
- Which plasticizers are flame resistant?
- Flame-retardant plasticizers provide fire resistance to polymers such as PVC. A representative example is organophosphate. SANSO CIZER TCP (Tricresyl phosphate) is an organophosphate with excellent flame and weather resistance as well as electric insulation properties.
- What is a primary plasticizer?
- A primary plasticizer enhances elongation, softness and flexibility of polymer. They are highly compatible with polymers and can be added in large quantities. For example: up to 50% of vinyl gloves are made up of plasticizers, which make the PVC flexible and soft enough to wear.

- What are plasticizers?
- Plasticizers are additives that increase the flexibility or workability of the material that they are added to.
- What are natural product type plasticizers?
- Vegetable oil derivatives are the most widely used natural product type plasticizers. Products consisting of triglyceride esters of unsaturated fatty acids (e.g., soybean oil, linseed oil) in which the double bonds in the fatty acid residues have typically been epoxidized have been commercial products for decades.
- What is Indo-Nippon plasticizer?
- Indo-Nippon Chemical Co., Ltd. is manufacturing a wide range of plasticizers which find applications in various industries such as PVC, synthetic resins, natural and synthetic rubber, perfumery, agarbatti and other industries.
