High-performance polyvinyl chloride gel artificial muscle
PVC gels were prepared with varying plasticizer (dibutyl adipate, DBA) content. The prepared PVC gels were characterized using Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, and dynamic mechanical analysis. The DBA content in the PVC gel was shown to have an inverse relationship with both the storage and loss modulus.

supply, use, toxicity, and exposure associated with dibutyl adipate (DBA) and di-isobutyl adipate (DiBA). Literature searches for physico-chemical, toxicological, exposure, and risk information were performed in July 2018 using the CAS number and synonyms (see Appendix 1 for the full list of search terms), and using the following databases:
DIBUTYL ADIPATE CAS N°:105-99-7 - OECD
Dibutyl adipate is volatile liquid and production volume is less than 100 tonnes/year in 1987 - 1992 in Japan. This chemical is used as for plasticizer for resins mainly. Dibutyl adipate is readily biodegradable. Dibutyl adipate is not hydrolyzed at pH 4, but hydrolysed at 7 and 9. The half-life is a week at pH 9. Direct photodegradation is not

value from 2.8 to 15.6, respectively, for the adipate plasticizers. The method is sensitive and was effectively applied in the kinetic and penetration studies of the adipate plasticizers migrating from food-grade PVDC packaging film into ham sausage. The experimental data showed that approximately 6.8% of dibutyl adipate (DBA) in the packag-
Researchers use electrically responsive fluid to make eye
Researchers have developed an adaptive liquid lens based on a new electrically responsive fluid called dibutyl adipate (DBA) that changes focal length when a voltage is applied. The lens is
