Current Status of Plasticizer Research | SpringerLink
After several tens of years, the plasticizer industry in China has grown to a relatively large scale. Currently, China has the largest plasticizer production and consumption in Asia, with a capacity of 2.2 million tons, an actual volume of 1.3 million tons, and an apparent consumption of 1.7 million tons.
Plasticizers: Types, Uses, Classification, Selection & Regulation
It is almost colorless and odorless oily liquid. It is very slightly soluble in water but soluble in alcohols, hexane etc. while miscible and compatible with all the monomeric plasticizers used in PVC compounding. Melting point: 43°C (45°F; 230 K) Boiling point: 244-252°C at 0.7 kPa.
Handbook of Plasticizers | ScienceDirect
This book should be used in conjunction with Plasticizer Database, which gives information on the present status and properties of industrial and research plasticizers. The book covers the uses, advantages, and disadvantages of plasticizers, historical and theoretical background, their effects on process conditions, and health, safety, and
Synthesis and characterization of polymeric plasticizer
The loss of percentage amount of plasticizer in 4 h at 130 °C was 4.34 % and in case of DOP it was 4.35 %, thus we can say that PP 1 has comparable plasticizer properties to DOP in PVC and rubber blends. Table 6 shows the kinematic viscosity of PP 1 and DOP at different temperatures.
Migration of the plasticizer in the compatibilized PP/PVB blends
Commercial PP resin, SF-060 (MFI = 6 g/10 min (230 °C/2.16 kg), density = 0.9 g/cm 3) was obtained from Polynar Co. (Tabriz, Iran). Waste PVB film (under trade name of the TROSIFOL, Germany) in the form of trim was used as one of the blend components.
