Mesamoll | The universal plasticizer | LANXESS
Mesamoll has a low dissolution temperature of about 120 degree C and is an efficient primary and secondary plasticizer for PVC. In addition, Mesamoll is a versatile plasticizer demonstrated by divers usability, including PUR sealants and adhesives, in acrylates for metal coatings and in NBR rubbers.
Plasticizers: Types, Uses, Classification, Selection & Regulation
It is almost colorless and odorless oily liquid. It is very slightly soluble in water but soluble in alcohols, hexane etc. while miscible and compatible with all the monomeric plasticizers used in PVC compounding. Melting point: 43°C (45°F; 230 K) Boiling point: 244-252°C at 0.7 kPa.
Mesamoll (Plasticizers)by LANXESS: Technical Datasheet
Mesamoll by Lanxess is a general purpose plasticizer. Exhibits good gelling behavior and saponification resistance (especially beneficial for articles which come into contact with water and alkalis) and outstanding resistance to weathering & light.
Uses of Phthalates and Other Plasticizers - U.S. Consumer
General Purpose Plasticizer: Offers the optimized balance of performance and costs Offers flexibility at the lowest cost Provides good low temperature properties and acceptable volatility Can be used with a variety of processing techniques Usable in almost every market segment Specialty Plasticizer: Imparts one or more special properties but may
- What type of plasticizer is Mesamoll?
- Mesamoll is a general purpose plasticizer of the type Alkyl Sulfonic Phenyl Esters (Phthalate-free), which is compatible with many types of polymers including PVC and polyurethanes. Mesamoll has good gelling behavior and saponification resistance.
- What is Mesamoll®?
- Mesamoll® is a general purpose plasticizer with good gelling behaviour and saponification resistance. It is compatible with many types of polymers including poly vinyl chloride and polyurethanes.
- Why is mesamoll oil a good plasticizer?
- Good dielectric properties which give plasticized PVC outstanding weldability at high frequencies leading to shorter cycle times than with other plasticizers. Mesamoll Oil meets a large number of European food contact regulations.
- What is mesamoll ® 51067?
- Mesamoll ® 51067 is a mixture of alkylsulfonate tailored to have an improved gelation behavior in PVC compared to Mesamoll ®. This enables production times to be reduced for more efficient manufacturing of PVC materials.
- What is the difference between mesamoll ® and Mesa Moll® II?
- More than 30 percent of the input materials for Mesamoll® come from fully sustainable sources resulting in improved product carbon footprint. Mesamoll ®II has a reduced volatility compared to Mesamoll®, so that requirements for more VOC-critical applications can be fulfilled.
- Can plasticizers be incorporated into compatible polymers?
- By incorporation of plasticizers into compatible polymers, the materials can be modified in such a way that it becomes soft and flexible, even at sub-zero temperatures. The degree of flexibility attainable depends on the type and quantity of plasticizer used.
