Overcoming the Formulation Difficulties related to the use
non-phthalate plasticizers that can be used in conjunction with a general-purpose plasticizer. We have evaluated DOTP against blends of DOTP with Santicizer Platinum P-1400 or Santicizer Platinum P-1700. Samples Evaluated DOTP Blend – 70% DOTP, 30% Santicizer Platinum P-1400 (Note – 51 phr was kept constant)

Here, five types phthalate free plasticizers; trioctyl trimelliate (TOTM), tributyl trimelliate (TBTM), dioctyl terephthalate (DOTP), dioctyl adipate (DOA) and dioctyl succinate (BIO) were used to obtain PVC films and artificial leathers including three different plasticizers compositions, 40 phr, 60 phr and 80 phr. Fig. 1 shows chemical structures and molecular weights of the used plasticizers.

[8, 9]. The most commonly used plasticizers were the tere-phthalates, constituting 92% of all plasticizers [10]. How-ever some of these plasticizers has been banned in the last decades due to their toxicity [11, 12]. Actually, there are plasticizers in the market with poten-tial to be used as replacements of the phthalate derived coun-terparts.
Palatinol DOTP
Palatinol. DOTP. Palatinol DOTP can be used in a broad range of applications as an alternative to general purpose ortho-phthalates, where good processing characteristics are needed and the finished product requires improved low temperature flexibility and low volatility. Palatinol DOTP is approved and certified by international regulatory
