Spectrophotometric characterization of plasticizer migration
Here, five types phthalate free plasticizers; trioctyl trimelliate (TOTM), tributyl trimelliate (TBTM), dioctyl terephthalate (DOTP), dioctyl adipate (DOA) and dioctyl succinate (BIO) were used to obtain PVC films and artificial leathers including three different plasticizers compositions, 40 phr, 60 phr and 80 phr. Synthesis of novel plasticizer ester end-capped oligomeric
In this work, a novel high efficiency plasticizer, an ester-capped oligomeric lactic acid mixture (EOL), was successfully synthesized by a two-step esterification reaction, with L -lactic acid as the main raw material. The structure of EOL was characterized by using FT-IR, 1 H NMR and time of flight mass spectrometry (TOF-MS).

DOTP (DiOctyl Terephthalate)
DOTP (Dioctyl Terephthalate) is used in all of the flexible PVC products include toys, upholstery, fabrics as a non-Phthalate plasticizer. It is nearly colourless, clear and practically anhydrous oily liquid. It is soluble in the usual organic solvents like acetone, toluene. It is almost insoluble in water.
Methyl Acetyl Ricinoleate as Polyvinyl Chloride Plasticizer
oil (methyl acetyl ricinoleate—MAR) was tested as a plasticizer for PVC. MAR was added to PVC in a range of 50–90 PHR and the increase of the plasticizer content had a great effect on maximum tension and tension at 100% of PVC samples. Moreover, the elongation at break also increased with the increase of plasticizer content.
- Is DOTP a phthalate-free plasticizer?
- DOTP is an organic compound. It is a non-phthalate plasticizer. This colorless viscous liquid used for softening PVC plastics is known for chemical similarity to general purpose phthalates such as DOP, but without any negative regulatory pressure. It is one of the growing phthalate-free plasticizers because of European environmental restrictions.
- What is a DOTP plasticizer?
- Its primary function is to enhance the flexibility, durability, and workability of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) products while offering several advantages over traditional phthalate-based plasticizers. DOTP is known for its excellent thermal stability, low volatility, and high plasticizing efficiency.
- Which plasticizers can be produced at the DOTP facility?
- At the DOTP facility, you can produce all plasticizers such as DOP, DOA, DINP, TOTM. 5- Waste from 1 ton DOTP Production 92 kilograms of water will come out of the reaction. 70 kilograms of water will be used to wash a ton of DOTP. 6- If selling price of DOTP and DOP are same why many companies produce DOP not DOTP in asia and developing countries?
- What plasticizers does OCI make?
- Based on the price competitiveness of Phthalic Anhydride (PA), the base raw material for Plasticizers, OCI produces major Poly Vinyl Chloride phthalate-based Plasticizers (DINP, TINIM, and DINA). In 2016, an exclusive production line for DOTP was added, further expanding OCI’s plasticizer business. 1991
- How many Hazen is a DOTP colour?
- Manufactured DOTP colour is always 10 hazen. Turn-Key DOTP plant With our patented plasticizer technology, we build the most qualified and economic DOTP (Di Octyl Tere Phthalate) production plants. Through the advantages of our technology, we have built more than 30 turn-key DOTP plants in such a short time.
- What is di-octyl terephthalate (DOTP)?
- Di-Octyl Terephthalate (DOTP) is a versatile and environmentally friendly plasticizer widely used in various industries. Its primary function is to enhance the flexibility, durability, and workability of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) products while offering several advantages over traditional phthalate-based plasticizers.
