Desmophen | Polyols by Covestro | Covestro AG
Desmophen products are a versatile family of polyether polyols, which includes diols, triols and polymer polyols with molecular weights that vary from less than 300 to as much as 6,000 g/mol. They are used as polyol components for polyurethane and polyurea formulations.
Adhesives | Covestro AG
Covestro offers PC+ABS materials for prismatic battery packaging, with tailored formulations balancing flame retardancy, dimensional stability and impact resistance. Story Covestro is your partner for 2D printed coatings & adhesives Covestro is your partner for polyurethane raw materials for coatings and adhesives optimized for digital application.
Isocyanates and Polyols
Our product line of polyurethane raw materials consists of Lupranat aromatic isocyanates (MDI, MDI derivatives and TDI), Lupranol and Lupraphen polyols. Our materials are provided through direct sales and through distribution, and are available in bulk shipments (rail cars, tank trucks) as well as IBC and drums.
Plasticizers: Types, Uses, Classification, Selection & Regulation
Plasticizers are most widely used additives in plastics. They are generally available as non-volatile, colorless liquids. Plasticizers increase the flow and thermoplasticity of a polymer by decreasing the viscosity of the polymer melt.
Polyurethane
Both the isocyanates and polyols used to make a polyurethane contain two or more functional groupsper molecule. Global production in 2025 was 25 million metric tonnes,[4]accounting for about 6% of all polymers produced in that year. Polyurethane is a commodity plastic. - Does Sanyo chemical America make plasticizers?
- Sanyo Chemical America makes a variety of plasticizers with an excellent anti-migration property. Our plasticizers help regulate the properties in polyurethane, making polyurethane more more pliable and easy to extrude so it can be used in many more applications.
- Why do you need a plasticizer for polyurethane?
- Our plasticizers help regulate the properties in polyurethane, making polyurethane more more pliable and easy to extrude so it can be used in many more applications. SANFLEX LBU-25 is an urethane modified polyether type plasticizer with excellent blooming out resistance.
- Which plasticizers are used for polyurethane based sealants?
- SANFLEX products are widely used as plasticizers for polyurethane-based sealants. Plasticizers are used in many products. And Sanyo Chemical America plasticizers are making polyurethane more versatile. Sanyo Chemical America makes a variety of plasticizers with an excellent anti-migration property.
- Can polyurethane plasticizer be used for printing ink?
- The results indicated that polyurethane plasticizer were prepared successfully by the partial substitution of petroleum polyols with vegetables oil polyols, castor oil and palm olien, given a very comparable mechanical, optical, thermal and freeze properties. Table 5. Properties of printing inks with standard and prepared polyurethane plasticizer.
- How to prepare polyurethane resin Pu?
- Preparation of polyurethane resin PUs were prepared via one shot method in which the blends of the PTMG 2000, vegetable oil polyol (50:50) and chain extender (BD) were mixed gradually with toluene diisocyanate (TDI) in the presence of DBDTL as a catalyst at 60–70 °C and ethyl acetate as a solvent.
- What is polyurethane (PU)?
- Polyurethane (PU) is a polymeric material that has versatile processing methods and mechanical properties. By proper selection of reactants, the resulting PU can range from flexible elastomers to high modulus plastics .
