In the study, archived SPM samples from the ESB have been analyzed for 23 plasticizers (17 phthalates and 6 non-phthalates). The samples were collected between 2005 and 2017 at sampling sites in major German rivers, such as the Rhine, Elbe, Danube and tributaries, i.e., Saar, Saale and Mulde.
