Synthesis of a Novel Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer with
A novel polycarboxylate superplasticizer (PCE) with a hyperbranched structure (HPCE) was successfully synthesized in this work. With Diallylamine, methyl propenoate and trihydroxymethylpropane (TMP) as raw material, p-toluenesulfonic acid (PTSA) as catalyst, a hyperbranched monomer B was firstly synthesized.
Progresses in Synthesis of Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer
The prerequisite to synthesize PCE was to prepare new macromonomers with controlled molecular mass, adjustable hydrophilic-lipophilic groups, long-chain alkyl groups, and large terminal hydroxyl groups as well. Structural modifications in the molecular scale of polycarboxylate superplasticizer (PCE) would lead to changes in properties of dispersion and water retention as well as enhancement in

concrete raw materials during the application process, especially in low temperature construction in winter, the phenomenon of lagging bleeding in concrete with polycarboxylate superplasticizer is very common, this puts higher requirements on the performance of polycarboxylate superplasticizer[5-6].
Preparing controlled low strength materials (CLSM) using
To satisfy engineering requirement, the contradiction between flowability and strength of very fine aggregates should be addressed. This paper examines the feasibility of preparing controlled low strength material (CLSM) using excavated waste soils, where polycarboxylate superplasticizer (PCE) is used to improve workability of the materials.

The main concern of this work is to evaluate the influences of supplementary cementitious materials (fly ash, slag) and a new type of polycarboxylate superplasticizer containing viscosity modifying agents (PCE-VMA) on the performance of self-compacting concrete (SCC). The workability, hydration process, mechanical property, chloride permeability, degree of hydration and pore structure of SCC
- What is polycarboxylate high-efficiency concrete water reducer?
- Polycarboxylate High-efficiency Concrete Water Reducer. The development of superplasticizer can be divided into three stages: the first generation are products of wood (calcium or sodium lignosulphonate), Naphthalene is the main representative to the second generation, polycarboxylic acid salts are the third generation.
- What is a polycarboxylate water reducer?
- Polycarboxylate High-efficiency Concrete Water Reducer. The last and most modern generation of water reducer is polycarboxylic acid salt (so called third generation). It is an aqueous solution of polycarboxylate ether of a certain composition and configuration.
- What is a polycarboxylate macromonomer?
- A polycarboxylate macromonomer used for production of superplasticizer with excellent slump retention and good workability, is formed by macromonomer copolymerized with acrylic acid. The synthesized PCE has good dispersibility, better slump retention, high work and good viscosity reducing effects.
- Which polyglycols are used in synthesis of PCE -superplasticizers?
- Clariant is one of the world's leading suppliers of polyglycols used in the synthesis of PCE -superplasticizers (3rd generation superplasticizers). Our Polyglykol M-types meet all requirements for esterification e.g. with methacrylic acid, acrylic acid and pre-polymerized (meth-)acrylates.
- Can polyglykol ML 2400 be polymerized?
- Polyglykol ML 2400 is a polyglycol methallyl ether which can be polymerized directly. Another alternative building block for superplasticizers are Clariant’s Polyglycol allyl ethers (Polyglykol A-type C). Like the Polyglykol ML grades these macromonomers can be directly polymerized, preferably to acrylic acid in water.
- Which polyglycols are used in precast concrete?
- Jiahua is also a leading supplier of polyglycols used as macromonomers for the synthesis of PCE superplasticizers (Polycarboxylate Ethers) TPEG1000 Application: Widely used in Ready Mixed Concrete and Precast concrete. PCB7230 Application: for projects using low quality cement, sand and gravel, but with high requirements for concrete.
