DEP is a minor use plasticizer found in a variety of consumer products. Oral exposure to DEP resulted in oral LD50s > 5,500 – 31,000 mg/kg in rat studies, 6,172 – 8,600 mg/kg in mice studies, > 4,000 – 8,600 mg/kg in guinea pig studies, and 5,000 mg/kg in a dog study. Dermal exposure to DEP resulted in dermal LD50s > 11,000 mg/kg in rats
