Synthesis of novel plasticizer ester end-capped oligomeric lactic acid
The plasticizing performance of EOLs in PVC was tested and compared with those of commercial environmental plasticizers acetyl tributyl citrate (ATBC) and di-2-ethylhexyl terephthalate (DOTP). According to the results of tensile tests, the elongation at break of PVC plasticized by 50 phr EOLs reached 725.5%, indicating its superior mechanical properties.

Acetyl Tributyl Citrate (ATBC) - Chemical Supplier
Acetyl Tributyl Citrate (ATBC) is used as a biodegradable plasticizer for PVC and cellulose derivates, and it is approved for food contact materials and can even be used as a food additive. ATBC is also used as an emollient for personal care/cosmetics products such as aerosol hair sprays and nail polishes.
A highly stable bio-based plasticizer constructed from renewable acids
The plasticizing properties of LLMEE in PVC were tested and compared to the commercial plasticizers acetyl tributyl citrate (ATBC) and dioctyl phthalate (DOP). The results of optical performance showed that, compared to ATBC and DOP, PVC plasticized by 50 phr LLMEE had both high transparency and UV resistance.
- What is acetyl tributyl citrate used for?
- Acetyl Tributyl Citrate (ATBC) is used as a biodegradable plasticizer for PVC and cellulose derivates, and it is approved for food contact materials and can even be used as a food additive. ATBC is also used as an emollient for personal care/cosmetics products such as aerosol hair sprays and nail polishes.
- Why is tributyl citrate a new non-toxic plasticizer?
- Tributyl citrate (TBC) is a new non-toxic plasticizer, because it has good compatibility, high plasticizing efficiency, non-toxic and less volatile, weather resistance and other characteristics of broad interest, it is used as the preferred alternative green products in place of phthalic dimethyl esters.
- Which country imports acetyl tributyl citrate?
- Country ranks by import volume from high to low is Germany, Netherlands, Japan, Canada, Thailand, Belgium, Russia, Indonesia, Australia, Poland. The highest export volume was China to Germany, accounting for 4.41% of the total volume of China. USD offers of Acetyl Tributyl Citrate is 2919USD/MT FOB Shanghai.
- What is ATBC plasticizer?
- ATBC improves the flexibility at low temperatures and ultraviolet rays (UV) resistance of resins. ATBC is a plasticizer that reduces the power of deformation and increases plasticity and elasticity. ATBC avoids the discoloration during the sealing process. ATBC is a plasticizer highly biodegradable, and it is a substitute of DEHP and DINP.
